Otterburn Castle is set in the beautiful Northumberland countryside and is the ideal place to enjoy a variety of exciting activity breaks.

Fishing for Brown Trout, Salmon and Sea Trout

At Otterburn Castle there are three and a half miles of fishing on the river Rede, a tributary of the North Tyne. This is one of the best Salmon and Sea Trout rivers in England.

We have excellent fishing for Wild Brown Trout, which can be the greatest challenge to catch and have been caught up to 2.5lbs. There are also prolific runs of Salmon and Sea Trout, as the season progresses.

You could enjoy our full Northumbrian breakfast before heading off for a day of fishing and on your return our Chef will be more than happy to cook your first catch, creating a delicious supper, whilst you relax and enjoy the homely atmosphere and open log fires at the Castle.
